Tricks Criminals Use; & how to stay safe

We all can safely say that the criminals and the thieves are clever people who will at one time or use a trick that will benefit them greatly and it where are a few ways the thieves use that ill also cause you a mountain of worry and loss.

Here are some of the tricks used by robbers.

Spoofing Your Key Remote.

As technology is advancing robbers are also becoming cunning and are trying newest ways to cope with this techno change. We all use key car remotes for locking and unlocking our cars and these robbers use devices in which they take the signal from your remote and store it to unlock your car.

Many reports have come to the police of the robbers who use this method.

Safeguard

The only ways to stop this are storing your keys, remote mobile etc. in a tin box in order to save you from this crime target, if not a tin box you can store it in a special faraday pouch which is a metal in shape of a fabric and it is flexible and it is designed to stop electronic signals.

• Flyers on your door.

It may seem pretty weird and idiotic like flyers on your door seriously??? But alas it is true. If you live in a neighbor hood which is usually not prone to these flyers and start receiving them immediately

Safeguard

Get ready and keep a ready firearm or weapon by your bedside. Robbers will come to your neighborhood and they will  be an ordinary delivery guy or clerk and will look for loopholes in your house to get in there have been many reports of a break in after getting flyers.

• Knock, Knock Robberies

These types of robberies are fairly common and they are also very decisive leak or a short circuit possibility and you let them in later to find out that they have robbed your house right under your nose. This happened to a couple who let in an "Electrician" who instead of fixing the problem made a bigger one for the couple. The police conducted a social experiment in which they sent a man in the workers coustume to several houses and most of them turned him down by making an excuse.
the robber may come in a workers "Costume" and say that you have a gas leak or some other technical fault.

If a person approaches you for home access, demand permit / identification. Take some time and confirm the company about the ID. Whenever in doubt; don't panic, just call local police.

• Keystroke Loggers

This is a cyber crime in which a application is downloaded on your computer and it runs in the background reading all your input in the computer including user names and passwords.

Safeguard

To be protected from it you should not download anything from suspicious sites and be sure to check your task manager to see which apps are running.

• Burglar Markings.

Burglars often use a type of code or a sign language to communicate and mark the house to be robbed there have been many reports of break ins after the appearance of these strange, suspicious marks out side the house.

If you see one outside yours inform the police immediately and take strict action / inform police.
