How to Find water in Desert

Water is a vital source of survival for the human race and also an important part of our life. The human body can survive for almost 3 days without water, nut it can be difficult to find water in dry conditions like that of in the desert.

Here is hoe to find water if you are ever stuck in the desert.

  1. look for signs of life: If you cant find a source of water your best chance is looking for desert animals e.g scorpions, snakes, armadillos or insects. In plant life we should look for cactus, shrubs or roots and if found by crushing it with a rock it should excrete some sort of liquid for a persons use.

  2. low Terrain: Water flows down so the common sense would by to check low terrain which could be depressions, canyons, valleys.

  3. Check for Damp Soil: by looking for damp soil, dry riverbed, vegetation, could all suggest a source of underground water source. so by digging a few feet away and a few feet away from these indications would result in water to seep in, try to filter the water if you can if not then you have to choose between Dehydration and unfiltered water and if I was in this place I would take my chances with the water

    .
  4. Other Methods: The morning dew can be collected in a cloth and it can be wrung out in your mouth, but be careful to take it out before sunrise or else the morning sun could evaporate the water before you could reach it. Collect all the rain water in a container and if possible then make a rain water collecting trap.
